History of FC Baník Ostrava

The Bazaly facility has been back in use since 2019, when its transformation into a youth training centre.

From 1959, FC Baník Ostrava played their home matches at the Bazaly stadium, where they celebrated the Czechoslovak league title in the 1975/76, 1979/80 and 1980/81 seasons, and the Czech league title in the 2003/2004 season. A number of matches of European competitions were also played here.

Modern sports facilities

The Bazaly facility is currently one of the sporting facilities owned by VÍTKOVICE ARÉNA, a.s. The sports facility includes the main pitch with natural grass and a stand with a capacity of 446 spectators, a secondary grass pitch, and a 3rd generation pitch with artificial grass. The main building houses a gym, fitness centre and regeneration zone.
